Itinerary

Following breakfast in Kampala, embark on a scenic 6-7 hour journey westward to Queen Elizabeth National Park, traversing Uganda's picturesque countryside. Enjoy stopovers at notable attractions, including the Royal Drum makers' village and the Equator, where you can stand in both hemispheres simultaneously.
Continue through rolling savannah grasslands, dotted with banana plantations and herds of majestic Ankole cattle, a iconic symbol of this region. Arrive at the park in the afternoon, check into your lodge, and embark on a thrilling late-afternoon game drive.
This adventure promises unforgettable encounters with the famous Big Five - elephants, leopards, buffaloes, lions, and bushbucks - as well as numerous other species, including kobs, giant forest hogs, hyenas, antelopes, waterbucks, and a diverse array of birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive to the Ishasha Sector, renowned for its majestic tree-climbing lions, a thrilling experience that fascinates many visitors. Queen Elizabeth National Park's diverse ecosystem, comprising grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters, is home to an incredible array of abundant wildlife. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and a leisurely morning.
In the afternoon, embark on a scenic launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering a unique opportunity to observe hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, and elephants up close, as they bathe on the channel's banks. The waterbanks are also a haven for birdwatchers, with species like the iconic pelican and jacana on display.
Enjoy dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at Engiri Game Lodge/Bush Lodge, a mid-range haven nestled in the heart of the park's wilderness.

Wake-up early in the morning, have breakfast and head to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an up to 4 hours chimpanzee trekking with a tracker and guide. The Forest Reserve is home to 6 groups of chimps, comprising of over 300 individuals. Please bring suitable closed walking boots and long trousers!
Afterwards transfer back to Entebbe.
