Itinerary
Arrival in Bujumbura at the Melchior Ndadaye International Airport; you will meet our company representative who will welcome you to Burundi and brief you on your trip, thereafter you will jump on your jeep and transfer to your booked hotel for check in, have dinner and overnight.
Today, after your warm breakfast, you will be driven to visit the karera water fall. This is a spectacular series of waterfalls in southeastern Burundi, located to the south of Rutana. The falls occupy over 142 hectares, being made up of six branches divided on three landings. After then return to Gitega city have lunch and after lunch visit the Gishora drum sanctuary to experience the unique traditional performance. You will meet the team chef of famous drummers for to explain about this UNESCO intangible world heritage site and take a sit to attend a fascinating show combining the sound of the drumbeat to dances, heroic poetry and traditional songs which take around one hour.
After you relaxed morning breakfast, you will departure at 8:30, start your Bujumbura city tour with a boat ride in the Rusizi National Park in the Rusizi river until to Lake Tanganyika to see hippos, birds and crocodiles, visit the living museum, return downtown for lunch. After lunch, transfer to the airport.
